Once you touch those bearing caps on those rods god help you.
Started the car and got to the end of my driveway and it said no oil pressure. So I turned it off and pushed it back to the garage. The techs are almost positive I at least have a broken rocker. So would you say it's best to just replace the pump and rocker and be good from there?

Absolutely, when you drain the oil that will tell all. If it looks like new you should be fine. If its all silvery and has pieces in it of course you're done. What I would do is drain the oil and check it. If it looks good pull the valve covers inspect everything. Next pull the oil pump and inspect it. You should find the reg valve stuck in the bore. At this point if there is damage to the engine you will see signs of it. The rocker bearings coming apart and the oil pump sticking reg valve are common issues. You think GM will pat for a new engine when all it needs is 1 rocker and a oil pump? Hell no it gets fixed,. FIX IT lol You got nothing to loose, If it looks bad when you pull it apart then pull the engine. I've seen so many simple repaired turned into 6-10k jobs by shops that until I see carnage my money stays in the bank. Most engines can be repaired, there is another thread similar to this right now on the site. One little nick on a piston and the shop told the guy it needs 10k work! sigh

Oil has already been drained, looked fine. Had to run a magnet to even find the needles in it.

You're good, I'll gladly walk you through getting the pump out. You need a few special tools and patience but I'll bet you can do it.

Damn, you mean my car is less valuable because YOU wouldn't buy a 14? Well that certainly sucks, wish I had asked for your opinion before I bought it.

No, because the 10-13 are more desirable. My numbers are accurate but they don't take into account feelings. I have 35k into my car, certainly isn't worth that. It's worth about what i bought it for... $20k, for my area with less than 20k miles with all the bells and whistles.

I build engines everyday for a living. If that’s my car the engine is coming out. You, the op and any one else can do what they like. I know your an expert and all but like I said if that’s my car it’s coming out so I know for sure every thing is ok.

Might look at LKQ for engines to replace that one.
