You can fit a full size spare in the trunk, but not in the well where a mini would go.

If you put a full size spare on the trunk floor, you have to secure it using the two steel loops in the trunk, provide for that purpose. See owner's manual.

Use a 800 lbmtest strap with a come-along. If you don't secure the wheel, it will knock the back seat over in a collision and injure people in the car.

If I recall correctly, if your Camaro has the smaller 18" wheels, then a full size 18" wheel/tire will fit in the spare tire space in the trunk.

However if your Camaro is equipped with the more common 20" wheels, a 20" wheel/tire will not fit in the spare tire space in the trunk.

either size will fit in the trunk itself, but be sure to secure it as Rock-it Man describes.

This is also an option. It fits down in the well with the battery.

The only reason why the temp spare wasn't offered for the SS. Was the roller skate pads on the front wouldn't clear the wheel. If you don't have the roller skate pads the temp spare will fit all four corners.

Nope, no full size wheel for the Camaros will fit in the spare tire space. Had a 2012 LS, 18in wheels, only way to haul a spare is to use up your trunk space. Won't fit in the wheel well area under the trunk unless it's a smaller donut type spare.

Well, that's what I was told at the time. Thanks for correcting me.

The 245/45/20s are .1" taller than the 245/55/18, so why won't a 20" fit in the
spare tire well?

The 245/45/20 is 28.7" Tall (Front wheels)
The 245/55/18 is 28.6" Tall (All wheels)
They're both 9.6" wide.

So, if a full size 18" fits, you're saying +.1" prevents a 245/45/20 from fitting?

Well, I tried a stock LS 245/55/18 in mine, and it didn't fit.

The doughnut tires are 135/70/18, they are 25.4" tall, and 5.3" wide. They
fit.

No factory full size spare is fitting in the spare tire well

I'm thinking of going with Modern Space because it only sits 1/2 inch higher that the top of the wheel well. I have an SS so I'll need the spacer for the rim to sit on the front. The other brand (Performance Tires (I think)) doesn't use a spacer but the tire sits 2.5 inches above. For those with a convertible, truck space is at a premium so I'd rather deal with a spacer and get 2 inches back.
