Taillight Water
Have a ‘15 Green Flash ragtop. The right rear LED taillight housing has a leak allowing water to get in. Anybody else have this? Anybody else have a solution you could share?
Thanks!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Instead of replacing the light or attempting to reglue it. I would just drill a small hole in the corners of the light housing. You can't see a small hole very easily. That will let the water drain out and help with condensation. It has work for me in the past. I'm sure others will chime in.

Bad advice here. Obviously, this is your blinker fluid you see. Drilling a hole will only drain this vital fluid out!

It don’t come easy.

Right! And the new fluid cost way more than the original. Kind of like with new AC units vs. old, different freon.

Don't let the water out, your tail lights will get dehydrated.

16th" bit, didn't need to go 8th". Never had water in it again. I drilled in as far in the corners I could go. Also, the reason you have that THERE, is because LEDs do not generate enough heat to vaporize the moisture. If those were incandescent bulbs, you might not be seeing that. |
