LT1SC vs LT1S Triple

Anyone have experience with these 2? Monster recommended the triple for my street application. Seems a little excessive for my needs.

From my discussions with Monster, the S triple will have much better street manners than the SC twin and is what I will be going with when I get a new clutch this year. Depending on your power goals the S twin is rated at 700hp and will have good street manners.

I’ll be at 750-850rwhp. That’s what they say also. My tolerance when it comes to drivability is pretty high. My cam is pretty big, and I didn’t mind it when I DD the car.

You have to decide if you can live with it or not. I'm shooting for similar power levels and just going to go for it and get the S triple because I want the drivability, and it should be easier to slip during launch and last longer than the SC twin.

That’s what I’m trying to figure out. 1700$ for triple or 1430$ for SC w/ slave. 270$ not bad .

Did you keep your stock slave?

I haven't got it yet, planning to get a new clutch later this year. The triple comes with a new slave, it doesn't use the stock style slave in our cars.

For the triple? This is what they said when I asked about it. sounds like the slave isn't a stock one and it's included with the triple kit

The triple, at $1899, will include a new GM conversion slave cylinder, flywheel, complete clutch assembly, pilot bearing, and alignment tool.

Stand corrected. The slave is required.

“we use GM slaves.

We charge what we do because we cover the clutch under the warranty if the slave cylinder fails - if they fail it kills all three frictions in the clutch.” -MONSTER

I guess it’s for warranty reasons.

What made you go with the triple instead of the SC?

Mostly because of the reviews regarding street manners as mine will still be a daily driver. That and I found it for a price that was too good to refuse.

I also bought a new slave with billet bearing support and the remote bleeder while I was at it.
