Lost stock lug nut
I recently had new tires installed, only for my mechanic to inform me one of my lug nuts was missing. Can someone help me find the part number for stock lug nuts (mine came with the polished aluminum wheels). Google and the online GM parts stores have been less than helpful. Thanks.

You can use any M14X1.5 thread size lug nut.

One of mine was stripped when I got my car. The only way I could get one was to buy a complete set. Mine was midnight silver, I knew I would be getting new wheels soon so I just used an acorn nut. Maybe you can find a single.

Call up your local dealer with the last 8 of your vin. My car came with 4 cheap off brand lug nuts. My dealer found what I needed instantly. I got mine without having to buy a whole set.

Yeah, the dealer/GM parts online should have them available in singles. If they say you have to buy them as a set, they're a "stealership". Go to another dealer or just order one online.

I faced this exact issue yesterday. Looked at the passenger side rear wheel, and one of the lug nuts was missing. I did a search online.
Part number for a single is 9598179 I called up the closest dealer and they had 7 in stock. Swung by on Monday and picked one up for $12.00. Yes... I don't think a single OEM lug nut is worth $12.00, but it's still less than buying a set of 20, and I'm cool with paying extra for immediate peace of mind. |

Thanks, guys. I went ahead and ordered the pack from eBay. At least I'll have plenty of extras, in case more mysteriously disappear. 🤣
