Just wanted to provide closure to this thread. All done. Amps in and no new dilemmas. Speakers installed, do need to replace one clip on drivers door that broke during install. Took about 30 minutes to tune the amps. Sound system is amazing. All of the input helped and I learned a lot.

In case you want to replace them, these are what you need for the clips. I bought a bag last year. $8 gets you a big 30 count bag, which is a great thing since you will likely break at least one each time you take the panel off. Only downside is Amazon shipping is delayed until Coronavirus is done:

congratulations, jl all the way.where is the link for the rear speaker splicing. i have to review that incase i did something wrong.
