9/28 TPW Check in station!!!

It's funny that the dealer had to call the GM rep to find out why my car isn't here. The rep called back and told them it would be a Saturday delivery. It might be Saturday night, so I won't even get the car until Monday. That would be 13 days since it has been in OKC. Something is wrong with this picture.

cars are being produced on massive scales...at the rate gm is producing, and then shipping, theres bound to be a few hickups. besides..once gm ships it out, its in the hands of the rail/truck companies until it reaches its chartered location. give gm a break...theyre trying. anyways i hope you get your car soon!

Thanks Timberline! I checked this afternoon. The train left Louisville at
1:37pm and is on its way to Nashville. I'm hoping the engineer has a smile on his face and has got that thing chugging down the line. With it getting to Nashville tomorrow, Friday, maybe...just maybe I can pick her up Monday. Here's hoping!

Okie, I'm guessing it is the dealer. If they have had some issues in the past with the trucking company they will be slow to haul there stuff. I would look for another dealer going forward.

Ummm.. No... if it's GM's fault, I don't have to give them a break. I've been told my car would be here last Saturday, then Monday, then Tuesday, then at the latest Thursday (today) and now I'm "Guaranteed" it will be here Saturday. Do you think I honestly believe that?

I was simply sharing my frustration with fellow 9/28ers that DON'T have their car yet. Those of us who are still waiting and those that understand and are currently experiencing the frustration of waiting.

I'm sure I will enjoy the heck out of this car. I'm sure I will be impressed with GM's design and engineering. I so want GM to succeed, but if they have a role in this transporation process, then I want them to work on that too. Building great cars is only part of being a successful company.

I'm definately leaning towards the dealer. If it's not controlled by them, then at a minimum they shouldn't keep telling me it will be here tomorrow.

I did start thinking that if my dealer can't sell enough cars to fill a truck a week, then they may not be around much longer. However, I think they are a big Corvette dealer... so, that may be what keeps them going.

How far of a drive is it? How many hours will you get to have some quality time with your car?

oh my gosh- it is like a 4 and half hour drive one way!!! - We are going to drive down tomorrow night and then a long but VERY FUN ride home with the camaro-- may even take a long- way to get some drive time in and make sure its not all interstate driving!

sorry it's been so long- trying to get everything ready for the new arrival and then work has kept me busy--- thank God -cause I would be insane by now if not!!! LOL
