Probably, but my budget is done. Kong will have to wait for my next build.

Do you think I will have any issues with a 6 rib on a 8 rib crank pulley?

I couldn't tell you. I know people have done things like that before. Usually the edges of the pulley are higher than the center ribs so there's a little more grip there.

I’m at $5408. That includes the blower, West Mich kit, LSX innovations belt drive kit, bolts thermostat, dual fuel pump, 80# injectors, riveter, sheet metal nibbler, gasket maker, loctite, gloves, brake clean, carb cleaner, and some little stuff I am forgetting.

Still need an upper pulley ~ $250 and a tune, which may include a wideband sensor ~ $800 - $1000.

I realize that I am now in the ballpark of some aftermarket blowers, but I also am doing a pretty substantial fuel upgrade. The tune is going to be Jannetty, Mark, or a dyno ship in the twin cities.

Ted can tune with my SCT, but I will need to get a wideband sensor. He has pricing for multiple mods like mine will be.

Mark will do for a fair flat rate, but I will have to buy a HP MPV1 with credits and a wideband sensor.

The dyno tuner in the twin cities also would require an HP tuner, he would do a base tune to get started, then street tune and finally a dyno.

Controversial option 4 for tune is to buy HP MPV suite and tune myself. No tuning experience, but I have heard the user support on HP is a lot like on here, very helpful and supportive. This option scares me, but as my budget dries up it is what I might have to do.

All in on road I will be in around $6300 - $6500. The fuel upgrade is a big difference in the cost, I got an ADM dual pump and ID8500 as part of the package for the lower ($2200 for all 3; value of $2900-$3000). Totally underestimated the cost to tune.

Oh yeah forgot, engine beauty cover and studs. Actually going to custom paint it to match the blue ray metallic of the car. Cover for about $80.

Yea i wouldn't try to tune it yourself without a base to start with. My opinion. For reference after doing my whipple and fuel mods to support it gauges tune i was in for about $12k so you're doing just fine.

Not too bad. Idk how far you are from West Allis WI, but the shop there (Endless Autosports) built and tuned my camaro when I did my cam. Tune was spot on, especially with the profile of my cam.

West Allis is about 5 1/2 hours away. What was the name of the shop?

Endless Autosports or Endless Performance.... Same company. They use a mustang dump, and I believe the guy that does the tuning has been tuning cars for over 10 years. Good people, easy to talk to. No complaints.

Updates: Everything but the belt has been ordered. My belt kit is here, looks great Lol-epa has been a big help. The rest of the stuff, lid etc. is coming from West Michigan Auto Tech tomorrow, all except the bypass valve for the S.C., waiting on GM who is busy saving lives building ventilators right now. Ordered my 2.8 griptec from Weapon X not sure on delivery time there yet. Beauty cover came and is in good shape, I ordered some paint to match the body, blue ray metallic, to paint the cover. 160 thermostat also came from Summit.

I ordered a balancer puller from Amazon, that won’t be here until mid-May. I might try pulling the balancer with some cargo straps to the frame and return the puller when it gets here.

I decided to go with a tune from my local Twin Cities tuner CJTunes. I spoke with him yesterday and I was impressed. I like keeping my business local (local enough) and using a dyno to dial this in. He told me not to go with the dual fuel pump right now, that having 80# injectors would be enough. That I could push the fuel pump until I do my camshaft. I of course like this because I was kinda dreading either cutting a trap door or dropping the gas tank.

This also means I am going with HP tuners and a AEM gauge. I will be selling my SCT tuner once I am ready to do my build. I am looking for a way to mount the AEM in the vent next to the drivers side door. I have seen some pictures on the forum from 2014 that are exactly what I want to do. SMG makes one for the NGauge, and one for the 2016 Camaro, neither of which will work, unless I want to shell out another $450 for an NGauge to plug my AEM into. I am pretty sure I can fab something to make the AEM fit, anyone do this?

Planning on build this weekend, unless the pulley doesn’t show up or I decide I want to wait for the balancer puller.

Did you order a crank pin kit? If not, you should.

Yup, got it with the LSA innovations.

Got everything except S.C. bypass (waiting on GM), upper pulley will be here Saturday. No belt yet because I am unsure on the length. My LSA innovations sheet says 106.375, but it accounts for LS3 stock and LSA stock upper pulley. The 106 might still be right.

I put on new intake gasket. Bought all I had time for with my job. Fighting the urge to jump in the garage every minute now.

Is there any way to mount a upper pulley ring without a press?

First, I don’t have one. Second, if I get one I probably won’t need it again for a decade. Third, I don’t want to take the snout off a third time in the last two weeks.
