Wiring in a KB Boost a pump

Has anyone installed a KB BAP? If so, can you pass on any wiring diagrams or directions to hook up BAP?

Thanks in advance.

Took me a while to figure this out. . . I'll post up a real good thread on how to do it and why this weekend after I get my setup finalized. Alot of people and shops are wiring them incorrectly with out knowing it and are assuming it works since the stock fuel system is so robust.

I am running E85 and have at least 450hp to the wheels. The e85 requires 30% more fuel than gas to make the same power. So the stock system could handle up to about 600rwhp with no modifications.

the trick with the BAP is that it needs to be wired after the Fuel Pump Control Module. . . the other trick is that it cant be triggered to turn on with less than 10v input.

Wiring the boost a pump in the trunk after the fuse to the FPCM does not work despite the fact that many are doing it this way. The FPCM varies its output voltage to the fuel pump based on the fuel demand regardless of its input voltage.

Again, I will post this weekend to make this very clear, I'll even include pics!

Thanks to those who helped me figure this out (Icon)

So you are saying that Lingenfelter is doing all of their cars wrong? I worked with them over the phone to get mine setup and they sent pics of every step. They mount theirs in the trunk as well but you say this is wrong. I am really interested in seeing what you say is the correct way as I am open to all options but also would like to know mine is exactly correct as Lingenfelter is a very respected company and have done alot of the 2010 camaros with the KB setup.

Mine is wired in the trunk as well. Will be watching closely. Post a link in here when ready.

Really appreciate you taking the time to do a write up. We have an L99 in the shop that we Procharged, full exhaust and tuned, but it needs a BAP bad.

Thanks again, look forward to reading the info.

Just got back from being dynoed and tuned and checked my KB Boost a Pump and all is great. It made 627hp and 655torque. I am posting pics of the wiring as it is super simple and straight forward. PM me if you need help as I can tell you step for step how to wire it up.

Please tell us how you know the bap is working as wired, did you check the voltage out of the fuel pump control module?

Ok, I just finalized my boost a pump setup and its working great! It is still very simple but unlike what most people will tell you the pictures above do not depict the correct wiring of the BAP.

The pics posted above have the BAP wired before the fuel pump control module, this is incorrect. The BAP must be wired after the FPCM to function properly. I know this because I originally had it wired that way. I now have it wired after the FPCM and it is finally working.

The stock fuel system is great, it can support near 600RWHP with no modifications. This is why so many people have a BAP wired wrong but do not know it.

Check out my website for more info. . . I will try to put more pics up tomorrow

LPE's way IS the correct way. I have wired them both ways and measured voltage at the pump. Both E85LSX's & LPE's ways get you the same voltage increase at the pump however ... LPE's way prevents other issues that WILL pop up later on. Believe me! they have tested this at great lengths

When I wired the boost a pump like LPE before the FPCM I did not see an increase if voltage to my fuel pump. The way I have it now, after the fpcm, is increasing my voltage to the pump.

Since you know my way will eventually fail could you at least tell me how? I'd appreciate it, until then I will be testing this as it is my daily driver and I'll keep you guys posted.
