OK everyone boost is working better now or at least as described. Now for first impressions. I bought mine in a special deal and got a special deal. I wish I had bought it from Jannetty Racing as they have been very good to work with. The original kit was advertised at 600 HP engine HP. I have not put it on the dyno yet so I dont know where I actually will be when this is all done. However before tuning it was recommneded that I upgrade to the JRE FPCM asnfd ZL1 fuel pump that didnt come in the kit. Also Ted had mentioned that what I was experiencing (a narrow power range from about 5000 to 6500 wasnt the first he had heard of it. He recommended the smaller pulley and a bigger set of injectors. This should move the power down 1000 RPMs and help with the fact that I dont rev my motor to 6500 all of the time to pass someone. I am going to dyno as is and then put the smaller pulley and bigger injectors in and report what I think then. The problem with the power band being so narrow is that you dont get that kick in the ass feeling when the boost comes in. You are already revving the motor to 5000 and you dont get that big boost feeling because its already in its power. I am sure it is 600 HP or I believe 525 at the rear wheels, but noit only will the smaller pulley make more HP which to be honest 525 RWHP was my goal it should make it more user friendly HP. When I pass a car I will downshift a gear I would like to feel the boost then. So that is my first impression. Let me know if you have any questions on this build. Given everything I know now, I would start with the 75mm pulley and the 1000 injectors and skip the smaller one all together.

What is a PD? In doing some reading I am seeing others for instance a guy with an EForce with a similar report of feeling from it. I guess I was expecting more from 600 HP. I will try the smaller pulley and see what that gets me and report back. Without getting into a Cam and Headers and free flowing cats I wonder what most kits produce?

positive displacement, roots-type, top mount. maggies, e force, Kenny bell, ect.
Their boost hits instant and stays on the whole rpm range. I opted to skip the smaller pulley options (105m, 103mm) on my ESS Tuning kit, and went straight to the 95mm. Im glad i did. Not only does it create a higher peak of boost at the top end, but since you are spinning the blower faster you get more boost lower as well. Pulley down, and if you still dont like it, sell it. Does anyone know the max CFM the Kraftwerks blower makes? EDIT; as a reference, the Vortech V3 Si i have makes 1150cfm. I think the YSi-B makes 1950cfm.

Honestly, if i knew you, I would have steered you towards one of many other great options available. Not to be disrespectful, but when they advertise this, it kinda makes you wonder what exactly they were originally designed for... "The C38 is also ideal for the supply of clean pressurized air for other applications such as industrial systems, fuel cell power plants etc."

I have mine set up with the 75mm pulley at 6800 redline. That’s about as close to being maxed out as you can get

760 What injectors are you running? Do you have headers? Did you do a cam? I would like to see 600 RWHP on mine and not void my warranty on it.

I sold my baby last week. I got pretty good money for it and now I am looking for a 6th Gen ZL1 to build. This car was fun and after going to a 70mm pulley and E85 she put down 640 rwhp which really feels nice. I found in order to go any further I need a better clutch a bigger rear differential and starting with something with those parts seems a better deal. I will miss Kate though.
