Question about bumper cover fitment. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Has anyone tried swapping the bumper cover on an LS with a different model's like the SS? Reason I ask is because when I put my SS bumper cover on my LS, I had the hardest time getting the sides of the bumper cover to sit right. I had to push as hard as I could while another person put the bolts in on the inside of the wheel wells. I'm thinking that the triangular plastic piece that attaches to the impact bar and sits below it was pushing up against the inside of the bumper cover. I just don't want to take the bumper cover off and struggle with that again without knowing the issue. I saw a video of a guy swapping his SS bumper cover to a ZL1 and he had to cut it down to make it fit so I'm wondering if that's the issue here.
