Congratulations Paul! How long will they have your car and which kit are you getting?

Thank you RS! I'm looking forward to meeting you and your wife. I won't be able to chime in much.....for now I'm just doing a lot of wishing and praying that the V6 supercharger kit becomes a reality! Just a lot of dreaming at this point

I hope everyone makes it to the gathering in April. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone so much!
Welcome to the sisterhood Abygale! So tomorrow's the day RS's baby comes home and mine is leaving I'm happy, sad, and looking forward to my build all at the same time. We both drove my stock camaro and turned off the traction control etc one more time, so when RS's 650 comes back tomorrow... BOY OH BOY!!!! Can't wait I feel like its Christmas eve, only Santa's not bringing a Red Rider BB gun, but a full fledged LPE 650 Camaro dyno'd at 575 HP!!! OK So it's RS's and I'll be riding shotgun but I know mine is coming soon BEWARE OF THE LPE SISTERHOOD

Wow very exciting! At least it's a good time of the year to have your baby gone for a bit. I'm soooooo hoping that the V6 supercharger becomes available this winter.....I'll be happy to give Cami up for a few weeks if she comes back even sexier!

Congratulations on getting your car on it's way tomorrow ....I bet she's going to be absolutely amazing when you get her back!

I am sure your wait will be less than mine, I imagine the bugs in the supply chain will be swatted by this time next week.
It is nice to be the first ones in there with new cars but delays are part of the game. I waited 10 months to get my car after I ordered it, so another 2 1/2 is not that bad.
Take RS out to dinner somewhere nice and enjoy some time together. HEE HEEE If they still have a drive in up there you all can go fog up the windows in the LPE hot rod tomorrow night!

Yea, enclosed. I think I am going to order an ATC. They seem to be made the best. High quality and 100% aluminum.
I'm not sure how long Junkie's is, never got that personal with him.
I'm looking at a 24' with a Vee front, that gives you another 4 feet.

FYI, for those interested:
I went with the Corsa Cat-Back exhaust on my build from Lingy. First of all let me say I am very happy with the sound.
There is no "Drone" that I have heard people speak of. The car is relatively quite at normal speed etc. When ya leg it, she has a nice deep throaty sound.
I can't attest as to what it sounds like from the outside of the car, but when the Mrs. was behind me she was quite pleased with the sound off the line.
That all being said, I am not happy with there solution for modifying the X-Brace. The first 2 pictures below show the solution Corsa has with there kit. The second 2 are of the new brace my shop fabricated from aluminum plate.
The problem with the modification of the factory brace (which is so light I can't believe it actually does anything anyway) is it does not allow enough clearance for the exhaust. Consequently, every time you hit a bump (remember where I live, pothole city) a horrendous thump is heard on the bottom of the car.
After a few miles of this, one is looking for the nearest Honda dealer to trade the car off!
So all this being said, if anyone else goes with the Corsa, I would recomend spending some time refabricating the X-brace!

Abygale Thanks It is a good time of year for her to be gone. Hopefully LPE is ready for the V6 package soon so yours can be done this winter too.

MWS We'll difinitely have some driving, dinner, and FUN, but probably only the driving will be in the Camaro!

Windy, Junkie, Long, Wide, Oh Boy should be a fun time at the Camaro5Fest. That's all I have to say about that.

Windy that is some fine metal work. I agree by the pictures the stock piece is more like an brace for the pipes, no much for support. What was the offset used in bending the alum.? Your piece looks to have much better clearance. How much do the pipes flex when you move tham by hand?
Did you use nylon lock nuts, or traditional lock washers?

Just thought about the washers, the stock bolt and nut probably have the self locking flat side with teeth. Forgive my lack of correct terminolgy.

At rest I now have 1/2" to 5/8" clearance. The pipes don't move a great deal now that they have "settled". As long as the rubber mounts don't stretch, I don't think this issue will arise again.
The nuts are tacked onto the chassis panel. I just used a shorter bolt with a grade 8 washer and a little blue lock tight. I probably didn't need the lock tight.
