Has anyone ever seen the dashboard area of a 14/15 Z-28 that is not equipped with a radio and/or air conditioning? I was wondering how Chevy handled that dash area when those options were not ordered. Did they use "delete" plates like they did in the 1960's? Can anyone post pictures of this area when those options were deleted? Thanks, Kevin C.

The cars without AC are only missing the snowflake icon on the ac control and condenser under the hood etc. All cars still have the stereo...but the non AC cars have only one speaker (so really not stereo) in the drivers door. The single speaker is there for door chimes and blinker sounds etc (apparently the govt says you need to hear such things to be safe on public roads, I just hear the exhaust note on mine). There are no different blank off panels.

The AC equipped cars have 3 more speakers.

Totally of 6 speakers with AC and speakers. Can’t forget the tweeters and I don’t mean the social media folks.

Agree but ours had to have AC.... lol

In my no AC/Stereo...

Basically it is a Radio required by law. FM at 24-25 on the volume it starts to distort. Can barely here it at idle and no chance of rocking out once you start rolling.

If I want tunes I get the Vette out and crank the Bose System. Not being a music nut I buy them for the 427 NA music.

I've mentioned it before but it bears repeating: I stay tuned to the NPP entertainment network. I adjust the volume with my right foot.

I am going to start a new thread / poll so we can settle this once and for all:

I bought my Z/28 for:
A: The Stereo
B: Everything but the stereo

Am I missing any other choices?

Is there a audio pickup outside of the car that feeds to the speake? If so, why?
