Hey all, I have a pair of the chrome bowties from defenderworx.com. looking to get a $100.00 shipped. they sell for $150.00 I think. p.m me and let me know. I also have the "Satin nickel Fuel door" for sale, looking to get $100.00 for that also, That retails for $150.00, I'm taking a loss on both but let me know, paypal only

Hey thebrainhart,

I went by my dealer I bought the car from and picked up a can of CGM touch up paint.. Came in like a 8oz spray can.. Sprayed my trim rings for the tail lights CGM. Looks great.. Only prep work I did to them was slightly scuff them with a scuff pad before paint..

Think I will do the same w/ my bowties.. red/cgm though.. Like your front SS as well! great stuff!

Yeah, I've been meaning to get some of that spray paint, for my rear side markers...
I thought about painting the tail trims, but I'm not sure, post some pics of them installed if you can

How did you guy prep the chrome for paint? Did you use a primer?

I am thinking about doing this as well, I took my car to a body shop and they told me they would not paint chrome.
