Some posts have a specific place to put them. I have always put it low on the driver side, out of the way of the wiper. I think Ft. Campbell was the only place I had to put them high-middle

I know most Air Force Bases are doing away with them because it just a waste of money when they check your ID's at the gates anyways. They don't have them at Nellis.

I thought all bases had transitioned over to 100% ID checks and decals weren't needed anymore? Atleast that is how it is here at Eglin.

Well, here at McGuire you don't even need DoD stickers on your car anymore. Maybe check your base policy on that to see if it's been changed recently. I didn't even know until a PME instructor mentioned it months after the change.

I think the AF is way ahead of the Army on the DoD registration stickers...
Just registered 3 cars on Fort Leavenworth and the stickers are required still.
We'll catch up to the flybois in a few years (like usual)

LOL... I drive on Ft. Hood and don't even have one... when I did it was lower left corner... they can't say squat when you are from a different service.

These days most bases are just flash the ID... no sticker needed. At least it's that way in the AF now.

Drivers side as low as possible. You can put it there first and if they consider it incorrect, they would just have you get another sticker. Mine is placed there and I have not had a problem so far, but I am dealing with the Navy.

We still have them at both Camp Johnson and Camp Lejeune here in Jacksonville, NC. Most are bottom left front windshield. There are a few morons that put them where their rear view mirrors are. They tend to get yelled at by inspection.

Hey, I work at Lakehurst Naval Base and we don't need decals/parking passes anymore. I think that started shortly after the merger of the 3 bases. I think it's the same for all 3, but I'm not 100% sure

At Cannon AFB in NM, we use the DBIDS system. Thats where they scan your CAC at the gate so no need for any stickers.

Luckily Redstone lets us choose between upper middle windshield or lower drivers side. All of mine go lower drivers side where you can't see them from inside the vehicle.

Dear god I wish Redstone would go to that. The decals are just about the most stupid thing going.

ID + Vehicle Sticker = good to go

ID with no vehicle sticker = dangerous unknown who must be searched to get on base

I can't tell you how many times a parked car has been hit and nobody, not even arsenal police can figure out who's driving it. Dear god, you have the base sticker which is tied to my registration and my CAC, you should be able to figure it out...
