Sorry I took so long to respond. Yeah, the most expensive repair was my rack and pinion started leaking. Changed it out with a friend one afternoon. Cost me about $350. Blend door did break on me. Thought a lot about the whole "remove the dashboard" thing and decided to do a little surgery on the air box. The blend door was like $16. Turned out good. YOUTUBE is a heck of a tool. Couldn't be happier with car.

140K here, all stock. She'll be getting a LS3 swap sometime in the future but until then her reliable 'ole LFX will be going strong I'm sure.

A little over 75k on mine. Haven't had anything fail on me yet but I did buy new spark plugs to be safe. I might need to replace my ignition coils or fuel injectors in the spring if cleaning the engine doesn't resolve the misfires I'm getting.

I have a 2013 lfx at 109k. Other than a failed slave cylinder, and a sticky throttle body. I am not running a catch can. Other than oil changes its been fine.

2014 LFX. Stock everything. My son bought the car 2 years ago at 40k miles from a dealer (don't know who the original owner was), and it has since come under my care. We've only put 13k miles on her the past two years (53k total for those who are bad at math).
Other than installing a catch can, I haven't touched the engine, drive train, exhaust, etc. No issues other than a very annoying rattling sound at certain RPMs, and my brother said that he thought he saw some smoke coming from the downstream passenger o2 sensor when we had the car jacked up and running awhile back. I thought my blower motor was going out last year, but I guess that was a false alarm as it's still going strong. Guess the chirping sound was in my head. My AC periodically wants to cycle on and off every now and then, so maybe the pressure isn't perfect in the lines or something? Not a real big problem as of yet, so I haven't bothered with it. Given my fear of the blend door issue, I religiously avoid using my AC at all costs. That's what windows are for anyway... |

To update this thread, I'm now at 153k miles, but my engine did fail at 122k miles. The engine seized all of a sudden one day and I had to get towed into a dealer. $6,000 later I had a reman engine put in. We'll see how long this engine lasts.

Did you go with a reman engine or find a used one?

Sorry to hear that! Was your engine consuming oil and it just ran out of it? I have about 72,000 miles on my LLT motor and it's consuming oil. I'm also in fear the timing chain stretch problem. And I've read about the blend door issue. Sometimes I feel like my Camaro is a time bomb waiting to go off. I don't know what I would do if I had to pay $6,000 to repair it; I think I will just buy a used Camaro SS.
