Diff fluid?
Hi y'all. This is my first post, so please welcome me to the forum.. I have question about my 2013 ZL1. The manual mentions changing the rear fluid after a track day. Are they referring to the grease, or is there a coolant that gets changed?
Oh, I'm 61. I enjoy track days as well as high heels. I've owned Corvettes and Porsches, but this Camaro is my favorite. |

Redline 75-90w
Ive ran it since i picked up the car. Ive changed the diff fluid 3x in 15000mi ... i have done a lot of track days, never felt the need to change it because of the track days. Just did it to do it... engine oil is different imo. I put a Amsoil 10-40 race oil in for track days and go back Penz 5-30 after, but ive also ran Amsoil 5-30 sig on track days. Anyways they are talking about the actual diff fluid. |

Thanks to those kind enough to answer my question. I appreciate it.
As for this being my first post? Well, everyone starts with a first post. You can't start at ten. And for those kind enough to question my gender, I'm female. Now that we've got that out of the way, maybe we can talk cars. |

Also need a pump to squirt that fluid into the little fill hole.

The white car looks great with the brickwall background. I understand how much you like the ZL1, it is my favorite car also. Heels, not so much. I had to wear them for an initiation or two and they are a terrible invention.

Welcome to the party Bobbisue! Hey your right about having a first question we all had one here. What you will find here is a great bunch of people who are glad to help you and will lead you in the right direction. These ZL1's are addictive and each time you drive it you will like it more. Just a caution note in case someone did not tell you when you bought the Z but the tires that come on these cars are summer tires only and they advise to only drive the car when outside temp is 50 degrees or above. Check out which tires you have and research them and be careful driving..
