I think I might get me one of these. Just don't really like the chrome stick so I am going to check around locally and see if I can get it powder coated in matte black and get the black husrt ball. Should look wicked then!

If you order the Hurst shifter for the 2010 Camaro you actually receive 2 shift levers. One is the chrome "Hurst" shifter and the second one is similar to the stock lever in dull black with a tapered end and slot, just like the original factory lever but shorter so you have the option of using your original "knob" and boot, so no one will know you have the way better shifter but you'd know it because it is better than the original in shorter throws and more positive engagement. I got mine for $319.95 and got the "pistol grip" which did not fit so sent it back and kept the white ball. It is great. It was easy to replace by myself and did not have to loosen the tranny bracket. Most can do this. Made a little tool to pull the keepers off the bottom pivot rod and it was a snap after that.

well i couldnt hear the gear noise too much in the vid, when i get my camaro i will definately get this shifter also if the gear noise is too loud its time for some exhaust to cancel it out

also the colors are great hurst always looks classic with chrome shaft and while ball, powder coating the ball black is like slapping god in the face

How is the install? Is it something I can do on my own? I installed my own exhaust, and rotfab is getting here Monday, so Im not a complete NOOB when it comes to installs! LOL I just dont trust anyone in my area... and doest it come in black?

If you installed your own exhaust you can install the Hurst shifter. The directions are easy to follow; I printed them off in color (that helps out with the visuals). All the wrench work took me about an hour… Performed all the work in my garage; no lift, just jack stands.

Sorry if I missed it but does this shifter have positive stop bolts to reduce over-shifting and broken synchros? I could find it anywhere but I do know some Hurst shifters have it.

You described the shifter as the "Hurst Billet/Plus Shifter." I've never heard described like that. Is it the same shifter if I order it from GM? Or, should I go with a third party?

No, this is not the same shifter. The "Hurst Billet/Plus Shifter" is Hurst's version for the Camaro. The Hurst/GM (Factory) shifter is to be released down the road. The difference is Hurst’s = 44% reduction in shifts and the Hurst/GM = 25%. As well as all the shiny parts…

I originally ordered 666 with the factory Hurst but it was not to be…
