That's the one I'm talking about. F5 Daytona Coupe. Such a beautiful car, timeless, classic, oh so nice. Drop a Chevy 427 and you got a bad mo-fo car....might be little too much power, but f#*k it.

I'd love to add a Viper ACR or T/A or a GT3RS. Gonna try to keep the Z/28. I love this thing.

Just got word that the car was listed for 64900.
https://www.vanguardmotorsales.com/i...let-camaro-z28 Just FYI, a stock Z was faster around a track than 800hp pro touring legend the big red camaro(69 with race chassis). Pretty much the benchmark when it comes to pro touring track car builds(know it doesnt relate to a factory five 65 coupe). Just a tidbit of information for all you guys with zs before you trade it in for something else. |

A friend on mine owns one that I have driven a bit and I would love to own one, but without serious modifications to the chassis and drivetrain beyond what Factory Five's normal engineering already provides it will never match the Z/28 in terms of performance and handling. It's fun factor is absolutely top notch in my opinion and it is a real attention getter out on the road but you are not going to be setting any lap records at the track. |

I'm not out to set lap records.... you'd believe me if you saw what I bought to replace the Z/28. I think the Daytona would be a friggin riot to drive. The Z/28 is an EVENT, it's something to be experienced.... but I'd never describe it as "humorous". I think I finally hit that "Slow Car, Fast" stage. Can't afford "Fast Car, Fast", not in this economy |

This was the teaser video... Best times: Z/28 - 1:36 Big Red - 1:41 before it crashed... The times are noted while the video is playing but, the end of the video does not ‘summarize’ them... -Don

Don(Hammdo) beat me to it, but yea that's the point. Big red is as good as it gets.. I wouldn't think so either. But it did and then some. Think what it would take to build a car on that level. My point was just "know what you have", before you let it go.

Already auctioned in 2016 but I thought this was awesome the big red team would respect the 5th gen Z28 enough to do this and for a great cause.

I appreciate everybody's response. This has been a great place to network with other owners. I bought mine new in 2014, knowing it was going to be a very special car. things change, interests change. It will make a great story someday !

It's with great sadness to report I've sold my 2014 Red Z bought new in 2014, now has 614 miles.
Actually what is sad is you put in a tank of gas and drove it a few times. Is that what GM did all that durability testing for? I've owned several 5th Gen Camaros, The Z by far is the best one ever. How would you know? A tank of gas determines for you the Z/28 is better than a 1LE or a ZL1? Cars are meant to be driven, to be seen and heard, not to be admired like a Rembrandt. |
