1LT RS Package Question

First off, I'm new to posting on these forums, but I have been reading them for a few weeks now. I absolutely love all the great information that everyone provides about their camaro's, it's all really helpful.

I'm anxiously awaiting to be the proud owner of a camaro, only thing is, I have to wait till around May 2010 before I can hope to purchase one. I've already settled on what model I want, which is the 1LT with the RS package.

The one question I have is, is there a difference in the wheel size between the 1LT RS and the 2LT RS? After searching around, I get the impression that regardless of what model you get, each RS package comes with 20-inch midnight silver wheels. Can anyone confirm this for sure?

I don't really plan on ordering my car from the dealer when the time eventually comes, more or less just hoping that there are enough around at that time to find what I want without having to go through the wait process.

If anyone has pic's of a 1LT RS without any modifications, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Thanks a ton!

If this is your daily drive car ... go with the 2LT/RS ... make sure you know what your getting and NOT getting with the 1LT/RS,for there has been some upset customers that were upset that a lot of the bells and whistles were not part of the 1LT/RS package. Like the 4 gauge cluster and connivence package, just to name 2.

I bought the Yellow 2LT/RS and it has everyhting the 2SS has, but the V8 and breaks ... other than that .. they are the same. Trust me, for only $2,500 more, you will love it and its sooo worth it.

ALL RS models come with the 20" Midnight Silver wheels and Pirelli tires. A 1LT RS and a 2LT RS are identical on the outside. The inside is where all the differences are.

Also if you are just trying to see what the car looks like on the outside, they are pretty much identical. The only real difference between the LT and SS is on the front. The SS has the mailslot (a fake vent on the top center of the nose), two "dimples" on the left and right corners of the bumber and a larger lower grille. Other than the SS badging everything else is the same.

Awesome, thanks for the quick replies guys.

I am also considering the 2LT, plenty of time to think between now and when I do actually get to purchasing one.

Both the 1LT and 2LT with the RS package include the 20-inch Midnight Silver wheels. About two weeks ago I ordered a 1LT/RS with the convenience and connectivity package. The reason we went with the 1LT over the 2LT is neither my wife or I are nuts about leather seats. We both prefer cloth. I know that we are the exception, but we like what we like. I would like to have had the 4-gauge cluster of the 2LT as they look really cool and remind me of the '69 I had back in the 1970s, but I can do without them.

At some point in the future that 4 pack cluster will be available for the 1LT, so you can get it whenever GM decides they actually want to make it available.

Are the rest the heated mirrors, leather, and ABL or is there more? Those five things are all I know of from info I got from my dealer. If so, it's not like there are 15 difference between the cars lol

The cluster of gauges that is in front of the shifter. You can see them in 9 out of 10 pics of the interior posted in this forum.

If you go with the 1LT RS (like I did) - the Convenience and Connectivity package is a must - you will get a leather steering wheel and shift knob which is a good thing to have (above/beyond bluetooth and steering wheel controls). Also, if you don't mind cloth seats, they did a really good job with these - very comfy

I was not aware that the 1LT did not have those... I want to change my order.

1LT vs. 2LT is a steal for the extra 2500.....unless you hate leather.

Cloth seats wear better/last longer than leather though.

Having the heat that goes with the leather seating is awesome for a bad back or chilly night, they should offer that in cloth seating and Id be sold.

I wanted that better stereo and USB port bad.

auto dimming mirrors are nice.

The bluetooth through the car stereo sounded cool on paper, but I hated it when I used it, I had to yell when someone called me.

The 4 gauge cluster sounded neat, but now I just consider them pretty much useless, except for the oil pressure gauge.

remote start with 2LT if you get an automatic is nice to have.
