I just got back from a 3,800 mile trip with my 2010 RS. Bought it this summer with 44k miles, have 53k on it now. Even playing with a Tesla and a Challenger in the mountains of Tennessee in the middle of the night, doing 110-130mph, the damn thing was still getting just under 23mpg. Otherwise, about 25mpg on highway. I have to wonder if your neighbors are stealing your gas at night.

I know very well what a V6 Camaro consumes, since I had a 2011 for three years.
In the dash, it shows 16.7 L/100 km, just like my previous 2011 Camaro. But the dash is lying in my case, since the range it marks goes down very fast and it is not accurate. I fill the tank with fuel, drive around my city with very little traffic (night time) and I barely get to 95 miles and the car is already in half tank! In my previous 2011 Camaro in the same conditions I did 140 miles in the city (at night) to half tank I'm not exaggerating! I realized the first day I bought this 2014 that the consumption was not right because the needle of the tank gauge goes down too fast, in a few minutes you can see that it already goes down without even pressing the accelerator, something is not right at all. I bought a new K&N conical filter to change the one you have and I am going to clean the MAF sensor, I will see to try with injector cleaner. My V6 consumes much more than a V8, it's crazy! it makes me very nervous to buy a vehicle with problems like these |

But how much gas are you putting in for 95 miles? I had my sender go bad and it was all over the place. I dont put a lot of faith in the miles to go distance.

Do this. I installed a K&N CAI and did notice more fuel consumption(more air, more gas use) but it dropped only a few MPG, not as much as yours. Make sure that bolt that goes into the intake tube isn't leaking because it's just a plastic thread situation and you have to be careful. I was too careful and tightened it a little more and it's running way better. However, like spyderbuddy said, I would go back to the stock air setup to see if that helps or at least eliminates the issue. If you don't have the stock one, GM Partshouse has it and your vehicle is like mine so the part number should be: Air Cleaner Assembly - GM (92240654).

There seems likely to be a fuel leak. Follow the lines as far as possible all the way through when running the engine. I would think you should smell fuel however.
Keel us posted on what you find.
