Wtf @ noise

Ok so my Camaro (A6) has about 950 miles on it and just today it started making this bizarre, painful noise. It sounded like something was being dragged, because it was an extremely high pitched screech, and no it was not quiet at all, it was loud and like i mentioned before, painful to listen to. Definately not normal. Odd thing was, it only happened when the car was in drive and moving forward. There was no noise at a stop. When I checked under the car there was nothing dragging or anything. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this is? Has this happened to anyone else? A flat bed is coming to pick it up tomorrow and take it back to the dealer for inspection.

Maybe something in the brakes. Like a rock.

Wow good call! I went up with the flatbed and once i got there they pulled off the wheel and low and behold, a rock about 1 inch wide (looked like a piece of gravel) was stuck inbetween the rotor and the rotor backing.....wtf haha

I just got this exact same noise last night. No noise when the car was stopped, and then when I got up to highway speeds it also stopped. Did not come back when I slowed down. I'm taking it in Friday for an oil change and will have them look.

Did it cause any damage to your brakes?

I happen to face one similar incident on a 7Series Beema, I jacked up the car & found a plastic bag stuck in the fan clutch! LOL
