Torqstorm to AGP, trans cooler help
Long time listener, first time caller...
So I’m in the middle of switching over to twins and I realized my ECS intercooler is not going to work with the AGP kit. The intercooler is too wide and kinks the 90 degree coupling on the inlet side. The only solution I can see is to bite the bullet and buy the AGP intercooler and sell my ECS intercooler. The problem that comes up with that is my trans cooler is currently mounted (very janky) above my intercooler, see picture. How are those of you running the AGP intercooler mounting your trans cooler. Mine is a Derale with a fan. I’m thinking about using the radiator zip ties and just zipping too the intercooler core above the crash bar. Let me know your thoughts. |

When I had mine, I did just that - zipped tied the oil cooler (I had a manual so no trans cooler like yours) to the condenser. I did not have a fan though.
Could you use a different angle coupler? When I put in an aftermarket radiator, It was too thick and I could not longer use the "snake" for the passenger side of the intercooler. I ended up routing the passenger side piping up and over the frame rail like the AGP driver's side does. Zero issues with it that way. |

Tru-Cool makes a transmission cooler that fits below the crash pretty well, but no fan on it. I Don't know that you would need a fan on it anyway.

You can’t just change couplings and reroute the hose?
I think* I have the same cooler. I mounted mine on my IC bracket and rotated it 90 with 90 elbows. It’s tight, but a little angle gave me enough room to make it work. |
