Weird Climate control issue. It's killing my new battery!
Since I bought a used 2014 Camaro. I noticed that when I turn off the engine, after a few minutes the heater its blowing air turn on by themselves for 20-40 seconds every 8 to 10 minutes, for several hours with or without a key. I already changed the battery and the new one is already reading 11.9v or 12.0v when I want to start.
Also sometimes the climate control doesn't respond, the AC can't be turned on, when moving the knobs nothing happens or sometimes it says "disabled" on the screen. Even once when starting the engine the AC compressor did not start at all, I had to turn the engine on and off to make it work. What can I do friends? |

Have someone use a high quality scanner on it. Sounds like you got a bad module somewhere.

My screen and a/c heater go crazy once and awhile. All buttons lock and cant select anything. I pull the HVAC I think its says on the fuse panel by the drivers side door. It always resets it.

Has anyone said anything about a My Link update? I can't find the message anymore. Also reading in other topics I thought I read something similar that updating the computer or radio might fix the "bugs" I have with my climate control.
What worries me a lot is that every time I turn off the engine, the front defroster turns itself on for several hours blowing air inside every day I use the car. At any moment something can go wrong. I'm going to try the fuse. In case it doesn't improve, where could I look to update the computer? Don't tell me dealer because in my country the Camaro is imported and here we owners have to do it on our own. |

Good day everyone. I change the HVAC fuses under the hood and the other fuse on the side of the steering wheel. Nothing improved. My problem is deeper. My new battery is already showing me 11.9V when starting up. The AC evaporator stays on for hours intermittently. Has anyone already had a similar experience? Any help where to start will be greatly appreciated
