PSI for 22" vs stock
Hey guys,
just got a new 2014 LS that came with 265/35r22 Toyos, with a "max" PSI of 50. After getting them balanced I asked the tire guy what PSI to keep them inflated at he quickly told me to stick with what it says on the door, 36 PSI, but that was rated for 18". Seems like there aught be a change since they're so much bigger than stock, curious thoughts on what to keep them at? Cheers! |

Most car tires will recommend 34-36 psi.

Agreed,,^^^ 34-36.No need to go any higher than that. Will make for a very harsh ride if you do.

36 psi in a 22 is the same as in any other size yes there is more air volumetrically but 36 psi is 36 psi, it’s pressure thing not a volume thing.
