I think RS has forgotten all about 'ol mws. Between driving that beast and negotiating with the Mrs. for a test drive who could blame him?

Windy I am curious to know if the HD's are about the same size as the C6?

Ive spent the last 24 hrs guarding the bumblebeast from the Mrs, I'm afraid if I let her drive it I may not see my car ah ah ahh I mean the Mrs. for another couple of months LOL.

Kidding aside she hasn't had the opportunity to take the bumblebeast out for a spin yet but I'm sure she will find the time soon.

So here is what I observed for the rear half shafts:
1. The smallest diameter I can measure on the 08 C6 is 1.20xx"

2. The smallest diameter on the Camaro stock shafts is 1.17xx"

3. The C6 left and right shafts are the same in design. I didn't check overall length etc. but they appear alike. This being said, the C6 shafts have machine marks and have been turned. Not so for the Camaro stock shafts. The Camaro's stock shafts are of different in diameter from left to right. I am going to assume the Camaro shafts are forged. If this is the case, I am sure they are stress relieved and heat treated. If any of this process is not within time/temp tolerances, an anomaly will develop. This could be why the breakage has been sporadic. Remember, there is an acceptable amount of rat feces in sausage!

4. The drive Shaft Shop upgraded half shafts on my Camaro aren't measurable at this time. The C6 is on the lift and castration will be eminent if I pull it out of the garage in the rain! They do advertise there diameters and material (chromoly) on there site http://www.driveshaftshop.com/pdetail.php?pid=702

5. I personally saw the half shaft off Lingenfelter's test mule. It was snapped clean right at the point where the half shaft reduces in diameter. No matter what this point is the week link in the chain.

I'm still going with the upgrade to the half shafts as a thumbs up!

How much for a tow when ya break one?

Or how much does the crow sandwich cost when it breaks as your about to stomp a blue oval?

You be dah judge!

mws, I would never forget my brothers.

I brought the bumblebeast to the office today as everyone knew she was coming home soon and all were anxious to see her and go for a ride. I must say I enjoyed all of the rides my self but looking at the expressions on each and everyone of there faces was priceless. They had the look of a 5 year old on the free fall ride at magic mountain.

I experimented a bit today turning off the TC and from a rolling start and 3/4 throttle she will pin your head to the seat and lite em up effortlessly. I must borrow Windy's neck brace!!!!

I know, that 650 is seriously crazy, but he's just sayin that cuz he's afraid I might beat him I just want you to know that yours will be back soon and most definitely WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

Aby, You add a style of conversation that was missing in our thread..

After 5 posts, you were the first person to get the LPE boys from the home office to post in our thread!

Keep up the good work! You ARE adding value!

I am hoping the LPE V-6 SC is coming your way soon..
