Locked dyno tune?

I currently have a Dyno Tune from Vector Motosports. I need a few touch-ups done to the tune but they’re really backed up right now. Does anyone know if they lock their Dyno Tunes to the vehicle? Im only asking because I talked to another Dyno Tuner today about getting some touch-ups and he said he couldn’t help if their Dyno Tune is locked to the car. I didn’t have the car with me at the time so I still have to find out from Vector Motorsports if its locked or not.

If they lock the tune, take your business elsewhere. You paid for the tune, you own it, not them. If they feel differently, then they must be trying to hide something. Likely questionable work.

I dont know if its locked or not. Hopefully I’ll find out Monday. I wouldn’t think it would be because its a Dyno Tune, not from a handheld tuner but what do I know.

Yeah I would hope not. That would be a HUGE red flag for me.

Since you're in the metro Detroit area, might I suggest Katech or Watson Racing for dyno tuning.

^^^ this for sure!!! If it is locked, go somewhere else. Most tuners won't lock the tunes, just from what I have found. I took mine elsewhere from the original tuner and was able to tweak it. Good luck ..
