dropped my V6 MT off for trans issues

I dropped my 2012 off today at aamco for a estimate of the trans today.

I'm sure with the track record I've had with this car its going to be a hilarious disaster. ive spent the the majority of 4 years driving on a broken aisin ay6 with the 2end gear pop out grind and binding problems on all gears.

back in november i drove out to Irving Texas on the trans in this state and back home. 1208 miles both ways on the way home was 16 hour strait shot 5-10 min rest for the car and tire check. finally have the cash flow to poke around on what it will coast to fix it.

figured mind as well make a post to document the adventure on the beater 5th gen in its journey

well car needs, dual mas flywheel, new clutch, new clutch plate, throwout bearing, clutch master cylinder, about 2300$ in work and cars going to be away for 1 week or longer.

the clutch master cylinder is going to be i believe the newer one so the 2end gear and low pressure that was causing the clutch to not disengage fully, should not be a problem anymore i hope.

I know a lot of people here don't like me or think im full of S**t but there is a whole thread on this Trans problems from the factory https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91813

So...there’s nothing wrong with the tranny? I can’t see the clutch causing it to pop out of gear.

from my understanding its the clutch master cylinder not having enough pressure to fully disengage the clutch so its still partially engaged and causes the miss/grinding on second gear and binding issue with other gears. mine is a bit worse case.

not having the money to fix it tell now and driving on it like that for 4 years. there pretty much is not a clutch left its metal on metal and my pop out is on De- accel.

my guess is with the clutch worn down when in 2end gear on de-accel its slipping and grabbing is causing it to pop out of gear im not a transmission guy nor will ever claim to be one. i just want the damn thing to work right for once

i got the manual trans because i was sick of Automatic trans problems. i come to manual week 1 of owner ship is problems

never had problems like this when i was operating a 12 speed in a Freightliner with a DD15. going cross country for Long Haul with Swift Transportation.

what i know of thew Aisin Ay6
From Wiki:

"The AY-6 is a 6-speed manual transmission manufactured by Aisin. It is designed for longitudinal engine applications and can handle up to (-->| 345 ft·lbf |<--) (468 N·m) of torque.
General Motors used the AY-6 as RPO MV1, MV5, and MV7.
Gear ratios:
1 2 3 4 5 6 R
4.17 2.19 1.49 1.19 1.00 0.84 3.67
Applications:
2004 Holden VZ Commodore
2005 Cadillac CTS
2005Toyota Tacoma
2006 Holden VE Commodore
2006 Lexus IS220d
2006 Lexus IS250
2006 Toyota FJ Cruiser
2010 Chevrolet Camaro
2010 Lexus IS200d"

i know the 2end gear grind is a common problem and the clutch master cylinder being weak is a problem. that's as far as my knowledge goes for the AY6 its self.......oh and parts are getting harder to get now half of mine are coming from Canada

Once the car is in gear the clutch is no longer in play. You can shift without a clutch completely and it will fully go into gear. Maybe you bent a shift fork. The clutch very well may need replacement, but that isn't your popping out of gear issue in my opinion.
