Identify the plug

While having the door apart, i’ve found this empty plug. Anyone knows what it’s meant for?

Thanks

im going to guess its for 2SS equipment such as the lighted bar on the door card present on a 2SS,or maybe auto tinted mirrors?

Identify the plug

Thanks!

So installing ambient lighting on a 1SS should be pretty simple then?

The plug is for the door lighting. you’ll have to rewire that plug. There is no power to it!! That’s what I did.

Why did they leave the plug with no power? How did you rewire it?

Thanks

I have a 2011 LT camaro. I changed out my trim panels. The plug for the door lighting was there but there was no power to it. I traced the wires to the power mirror plug there’s wasn’t any pins powering the door light plug. Yours must be hooked up. Just saying mine wasn’t. Anyway I made a jumper wire from the mirror plug to that plug and it works. All you have to do is test the wire for power.
