I have a 2020 SS/RS. Has been lowered since new and rarely driven. 3800 miles in 11 years. Always parked in climate controlled garage. This year after taking it out, I am noticing a very harsh front end with some clunks going over bumps. What do you thing has gone bad or dried up? They are factory struts on BMR springs. Tires are at 33psi.

My first guess would be sway bar end links, but I don't know how likely that is on a 3800 mile car. Might be struts.

The front ends of these things are noisy--there are a lot of posts on here about this. My impression is the struts "float," in that they're not rigidly mounted to the strut towers, but held in place by the weight of the car. A big conical washer stops the strut from falling through the tower when the car is lifted. When the spring forces the system to extend as it recovers from a bump, it may extend against the strut tower, hence, the noise.

Sway bar bushings, the ones under the clamps that bolt the sway bar to the subframe, front and back. Lube with silicone grease used on poly bushings. They tend to make a popping/knocking noise.
