Technically I guess it's more of an adapter so the spare can clear the front calipers. 2".

Just ordered a spare kit from Modern Spare … thanks for letting us know about them. I’ve been on a couple of trips and not having a spare was always on the back of my mind.

Same here, always a worry for me when going on a little trip in the Z. I would dread being stranded on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck not knowing how they would treat it in transit. Thanks!

So have you installed the modern spare on your Z? Does it work? Did you have any problems with jack and all the kits from MS? Thanks.

You know, I kept telling myself I needed to do a function verification just for piece of mind. Haven't had a front wheel off in a long time, next time I'll toss the spare on but it might be while. The jack is a simple scissor jack that uses the pinch weld. The tools seem to be of adequate quality for their intended use. When I do the test fit I'll post some pics.

That would be nice. It would suck if it didn't work when you need it. I ordered mine so if you can that would be great.
