AirmanSal - if I saw you on the road I'd salute first then wave, I still owe you a beer next time you're home.

Still not too many gen5s in NW NJ. Any gen Camaro or Firebird gets acknowledged by me (NJFBOA.org members most likely) and most Corvettes I pass wave or flash their lights as well.

I've got a V6 and I wave/thumbs up at every 5th gen that I see. It's about 50/50 on whether I get waved back or not. I've spotted 4 different yellow ones and they have all ignored me :(

I also give a thumbs up to challenger owners, but most of them seem to just give me an evil look. I'm sorry that I enjoy all types of cars. If I had the money I'd have every car that tickled my fancy.

I've had the same experience, the fourth gen drivers always seem like they're trying to ignore my car. At the same time, I was waiting for my wife in to come out of a store one time, and a guy in a first gen drove up to me and got out of his car and started talking to me about MY car. It was funny because I complemented his car a couple of times, but he pretty much ignored those comments and kept asking things about my 5th gen.

Haha thanks Tom. I'll be up around Christmas, but I will be flying up, so I'll be camaroless sadly.

I try to wave and acknowledge fellow 5th GEN owners but some seem to get upset when they see that they don't have the only one on the block. I pulled into a convenient store the other day and parked beside a CGM. I got out and was looking at his car and was going to compliment him until he looked at me and asked with a smirk "are you regretting your color choice now after seeing mine?" I smiled and said "no but I bet you're regretting yours" and then I walked inside. What an ass.

I think you may have hit on something there, they want to be the only ones to have a camaro, so they get mad when they see any others. That makes sense now, I think that is what was happening to me passing people on the road that won't wave back etc.
