InFiD3ViL, wow that's a good idea. Would you mind telling me what you have to do to set that up? I've seen the Bumper Protection system that I have work on my cousin's (car that doesn't deserve mention on these boards

) and that was/is 150 bucks for the beeping speaker under the dash. It works well but any extra insurance with a camera would be great.

That's cool, I need to look into doing that. I have that big Z28 splitter on there and it sure does stick out there!!

If you happen to have a front license plate they are easy to mount on the bottom of the bracket.

If you are running an aftermarket head unit it is easy. Most now have a jack for front facing cameras. I run an Android unit, so I just tap the app for the front camera when I am pulling into a spot. I simply used a cheap Amazon Chinese camera that was like $18 or so, and the way it mounts allows what looks like a 45º angle, which points right at the front splitter. The camera or head unit will have settings that will adjust for reversed images or parking lines, etc.

Pardon the crappy pictures. I need a new head unit, but it doesn't look that washed out in person - there are also some reflections on the screen. If you wanted to be able to see the full splitter you could just get a camera with a wider viewing angle. The camera I got is fairly nice quality for what it is, as it has an all metal body instead of the plastic ones that you usually find on Amazon. The one I used is linked below.

I can understand that some people would prefer to hide the camera so it's not so visible, but it doesn't bother me where it is. Other mounting options would be to mount it behind the lower grill or to do what davesnever said if you have a front plate mount.

Uhhg, my grill looks like it popped out of the tabs on the bumper again...

Mine is like that 24/7. It never changes. The passenger mirror does not dim.

Passenger mirror doesnt dim because they figured things are smaller and so is glare. Rear and driver darken.
