Yep. You can trigger it with your cell phone flashlight. It reacts very quickly if the light is bright enough. Very cool tech.

I simply used a cheap Amazon Chinese camera that was like $18 or so, and the way it mounts allows what looks like a 45º angle, which points right at the front splitter. The camera or head unit will have settings that will adjust for reversed images or parking lines, etc.

Pardon the crappy pictures. I need a new head unit, but it doesn't look that washed out in person - there are also some reflections on the screen. If you wanted to be able to see the full splitter you could just get a camera with a wider viewing angle. The camera I got is fairly nice quality for what it is, as it has an all metal body instead of the plastic ones that you usually find on Amazon. The one I used is linked below.

I can understand that some people would prefer to hide the camera so it's not so visible, but it doesn't bother me where it is. Other mounting options would be to mount it behind the lower grill or to do what davesnever said if you have a front plate mount.

Uhhg, my grill looks like it popped out of the tabs on the bumper again...

Great idea InFiD3ViL,

You can never have enough protection against parking blocks or walls. I'm sure I'll give this a try along with the speaker sensor being that it's not gonna break the bank. The speaker Bumper Protection System was $150 so it better work well even though I've seen it in action.

My wife has absolutely refused to wash my towels ! I resigned myself to just buying new ones .
Speaking of the ol' wash and wax , I'm headed that direction now , although probably won't wax as we have high percent for rain for most of next week !! ugh ...

Stopped at my brother’s place, the other day and got a pick of our rides. My bro’s is a ‘78 Z28 that is real clean. And of course, it has that nice idle that a carburetor gives.

Well, at least you got her washed and it's so clean, I can see the reflection of trees in the background. Yeah, I probably built another wing on the Adams company house because it's the building up of the arsenal of detailing products that gets you but once your there, you just replace each product as needed. So when I wash I have extra towels in reserve. Seriously though, the main towel to get is the drying towel so after you wash the car, you can just slide this towel across the car and in dries off the water drops so water stains don't form. Then, that gives you a few days if you can't get to waxing. I love how the red pops off gray on your Camaro Gen5. Looks great.

Thanks Joe !!! I actually only use a drying towel under the hood , trunk , door jams etc. I have one of those (can't remember brand off hand) blowers to dry the car with . It helps blow some of the debris out of places you can't get to with a towel . It really doesn't take very long either because as you said it's clean and slick and the water just rolls off . The blower just helps it along !!

Well, yesterday I took the decals off that the previous owner put on and restored it to the way it came from the factory. Hope the previous owner is not on here. lol I made a seperate thread about it but I figured some may have missed it. Love the way it looks now.
