2012 V6 exhaust pipe size
I plan on getting a dual exhaust cutout for my car. Yes I am aware that it's going to sound horrible. I want it to be placed behind my resonator. I have been seeing mixed results online when people ask for the size of the exhaust, some say 2.5 and others say 2.25. What is the size right behind the resonator?

V6 is 2.25... The V8's are 2.50.

My last 2012 RS V6 I installed 2.5" behind the axle. they should be 2.25 from the factory.

Based on my own experience, V6 is 2.25" stock pipes.. unless 2012 specs are different than the 2010 models. I used to have an MRT V2 Axle-back Exhaust and I had to blow out the stock piping slightly in order to connect it with my 2.5" ARH long system.

Far as I know, if after the h-pipe it should be 2.25 but between the cats and h-pipe it is 2.5 like the V8. So technically both sizes are correct, just depends where exactly in the exhaust. It drops to 2.25 coming out the h-pipe, so where you’re talking after the resonators it should be 2.25
