It takes more than that for a car to be "the most kick-ass cars in every way". Musk just can't see the subjective side.

Nothing special nor is it revolutionary. Electric capability has been around as long as ICE if not even longer. They are pushing these EVs super hard without contemplating the ramifications. The KW output is equivalent to what an ICE car would do with the same amount of insane power (roughly 1000-1100HP). So those times aren't anything out of this world to go crazy over. ICE has been doing that.

There is no real advantage or disadvantage just another variation of going fast which is cool. The battery drains quick, so one disadvantage is you wont get those numbers consistently. Second is the weight of the car.

Whether it helps the environment or is truly carbon neutral (its not by a long shot) is the real question a lot of people like side step and not give you a direct answer.

You guys should check out Louis Rossman the right to repair tech on youtube, he does a good bit on ev cars and their current problems exploding while charging slow at your home. I wont ruin it, its a good watch.

He got demonetized for exposing tesla and their battery fiasco as well, thats another good watch. They ship cars off with faulty connections and the only repair is to replace the entire $16k 800lb battery unit entirely.

To be fair for accuracy, the issue was damage caused by road debris not a factory defect.

Not to diminish the issue of damage to a small part requires a full on pack replacement through Tesla, but no need to also paint it as poor quality( though probably can say poor design).

And it isn't like a GM LT1 motor never blew up with a mere 11,000 miles on it. I am 100% sure I know of one that did. They all have their problems.
