Most holds are for less than 24 hours, and could be for any number of reasons. I was on hold on Monday, and by Tuesday morning I had a railcar number. Think positively....

Congrats to all those who have vins in our group. As of my last email from camarotracking.com yesterday I am still at 3400. I am hoping and praying the rest of us get ours today.

Hey CC - no worries for you, being that you're only 500 miles away from factory. You'll probably see your car before the west coast crew even if you're the last car produced in our group.

Question for Punkin: Since Camaro tracking does not have the actual codes listed, I am a little uncertain where I sit. My 'Status' is Ready To Ship. However, right under that it says "Shipped By Truck". I have the stripe package(white). Before that, I was 'Order Produced'. Does this mean that I am at 4200 or 4300 and awaiting baying; 4B00? I certainly can't imagine that the car will be shipped all the way to California on a truck with all the information I have received to the contrary. Any help would be great!

My guess is that you have to be shipped to a different railyard by truck....

You will be shipped by rail, until they assign you a railcar # your shipped by will switch between rail and truck....for no known reason.

I imagine for tomorrows camarotracking.com update you will have a railcar#. It's hard to say what your status is....ask your dealer to print you out a log/history of all your status codes and dates, I've heard they can do it....but I've never seen one.

Enjoy the waiting....if you can. I've been stuck in Buffalo at an interchange since 2:55 AM on the 28th.....it sucks. (I've travelled less than 100 miles since Monday or Tuesday)

One railyard for all cars leaving the plant..........split up in Toront yard....think delays. Another delay to cross the boarder, and then a big delay at an interchange once in the US. Frustration all the way...

I have a Friend who is an Auto Crimes Task Force Dect., yesterday he pulled a report off my vin# which showed an ins. policy had been taken out for transport by truck to a rail yard facility in Canada then it would be shipped by rail from there.....
