Hero Rear tail lights, Do they work with LED Side Markers? I have heard yes and no.

Hi, I am going to be ordering Hero rear smoked Tail lights for my 14 2SS, I have hear that they work with LED side mark lights and I also heard they don't, I was planning on getting the Oracle smoked LED Marker lights. I do not want to use the Sequential function on the brake lights I want them to act like normal lights.

Anyone have any insight on this? I asked the vendor and he said they may act up and they may not. Thanks

I know a lot of people have used these and had LED's burn out, save your stock filament housings and if I were you I would seal all the holes and seams with silicone for extra insurance.

No Issues with LED sides and Hero Tails, Only thing I don't like is the Delay between the Third brake light and the Heros, It's at least a second, I did put the Hero third on the flash pattern when it first turns on to try and take away from the delay.

Overall fit is nice, It curves in a bit more then stock where it meets the corner.

Oh wow. Glad to see I’m not the only one with that issue. It delays like an entire second and I’m paranoid about people not seeing when I put on my brakes.

What exactly did you do to help with the delay?

As for the OP’s question you shouldn’t have any issues with LED side markers with the hero tail lights. I have the clear/smoked ones and I really like them. I don’t think the side markers and tail lights share a circuit do they? Even if they did they’re just on/off, so it’ll just draw (a lot) less current.

Mark I am the OP, I have not figured anything out and I have done a lot of research, it appears some do it and some do not. I put my 3rd Brake light on a flash pattern and it kinda blends in.

Wow shows how much attention I actually pay to usernames and whatnot…

Gotcha. I’m not a huge fan of the flash pattern brake light but I may have to do that to at least get peoples attention before the regular brake lights come on. Seriously, super paranoid about someone not noticing that in slowing down and rear ending me.

I was not a fan of the Rapid flash wither, but I think due to the delay it kinda fits and helps.
