Arlington Police Officers are required to have a Bachelor's Degree but apparently the ability to read letters that are clearly visible is not a requirement.

It's been on the front of the car for about 3 years with no problems. It just frames the LIDAR target.

Some depts may require quotas. Ours does not.

Dallas Police Department does not have quotas. My dad was a long time Dallas Police Officer. Although he led all others on his beat in felony arrests, including men and women less than half his age, he was advised that he was not writing enough traffic citations.

He targeted people not wearing seatbelts. I was shocked at how many people do not wear seatbelts.
Ironically, the first person her pulled over for this offense didn't get a ticket. He explained to my old dad that he had a colostomy bag and couldn't wear the seatbelt because it pushed the contents back in him.
"Uhhh, okay sir. Thankyou for your cooperation."

A lot of stolen vehicles ARE backed into spaces. Some take the plates off completely. Some try to cover up the vin in the dash. 99% of those people try to cover up are figured out one way or another by the officers on the street.

My LP frame does not cover up ANY part of the letters on my plate. Blow up the pic if you'd like. It's legal.

Some Sergeants will say that to those who don't write enough tickets. They can't force you to write tickets.

Me too. I call people out on this ALL THE TIME (not necessarily writing them tickets, but just calling them out). I love it when someone sees me and they try to quickly and inconspicuously pull their seat belt down clicking it like I didn't see. Believe me. I saw. lol.... and I might get on the PA letting you know....or I might motion to you that I saw. Not wearing seat belts is my pet peeve. Even worse, is when I see mom or dad who don't care about their kids wearing seat belts (I do stop people for this). Kids don't know that if mom or dad (or someone else) messes up on the road and they get into a crash, that the unbuckled child will simply be a projectile flying through the air. If you are going 30mph and rear end a stopped car, I believe the child flying through the air hits with an impact similar to falling 5 stories or something. Seat belts save lives. It's plain and simple.

You can be issued doctors notes that say you don't have to wear seatbelts. I've seen them before and it was quite surprising. But....yep. Unless you have a note, you still have to wear it.

I'm so disgusted when I see someone in a Ford Excessive or Chev/GMC Suburban who purchased their truck because they "needed something safe". Where are their children under 4'8"? Standing up in the back unsecured, not a booster seat in sight.

Seriously. I want to stop them and ask them why they hate their kids.

Hey TAG, how many times do you see the great family "picture" in the front seat. Dad drivingand mom in the passenger seat holding the baby or little brother jumping up and down between the two. It used to piss me off to the hills. Now I just use my cell phone and take a picture, folow them, and call in to the police with the info and I let the police now I have a picture so that when they deny having the kid unrestrained the police officer says "really because the person that called you in also has a picture" I have gotten to be real good friends with my local police.

I read an article that did statistics and a study on traffic lights and they actually DO NOT PREVENT ACCIDENTS but actually caused more, lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess people were so afraid to get a ticket they either sped up or slammed the brakes as soon as they saw yellow and they would cause accidents

Ok spammer, if you want people to buy your product, make your own thread and stop hi-jacking everyone else's. In that thread should be pictures, comparisons, diagrams, pricing, and all the other stuff that go with marketing a real product.

Kansas doesn't require them at all... so I told my dealer to be sure there are no holes or holder on the front of my bumper ..

Unless the box is built in with the front bumper I haven't heard of a car being sold with the license box on it. They are put on for free to the customer if they want it on. I'm hoping I can put some NIB magnets behind the bumper to hold the license in place. Not sure how well the magnetic wave will go through a bumper though.

I only got one fix it ticket for one CHMSL light bulb being out, that cost me more on parking and gas at Pasadena Sup. Ct. than the $10 ticket. Not to mention the 3 hours it took to pay it off. For you people in California there are front license plate police stings. At the LAX parking lot if your car is facing out to the street, every car that didn't have the plate got ticketed when I got back from a family reunion. Luckily I carpooled with my brother in-law to help with the kiddies so he got stuck with the ticket and I payed parking.

In california, you cannot have the license plate on the dash as a replacement for having it on the bumper. I've known plenty of people who thought you could and gotten ticketed for it.

Living in Cali myself, most police officers use the missing front plate to pull you over to see if your drunk or high. Same for illegal tint on the front windows.

On that note, its only a fix-it ticket to not have your front plate on.
