I've been having the same issue. A lot of people recommended adding another ground wire from the engine to the chassis to help with the heat soaked starting issue. It sounds strange, but it works. Since I've done that, no more heat soak issues & the stabilitrak lights haven't come on. I did have 1 stall since, but no lights.
Also, are you getting a check engine light?

A new battery resolved this. Its my 4th battery though. In August 2019, I went to Autozone upon getting the dash light saying "service battery charging system" and got a new battery with their Duralast Platinum w/ 3 year warranty. The first one lasted about a year, then the next one about a year. The warranty expires next August, since it goes off of the original battery replacement warranty. Hope this one lasts longer than the other ones

I thought my starter was the issue with mine doing like yours does when hot. So I added the extra ground wire to the bell housing to the chassis and that fixed the heat soak problem but still turns over kinda slow but not as slow as the heat soak slow.

I did this too, added an additional ground wire, but did mine in the trunk at the negative terminal to the trunk ground, used a 4 gauge cable I believe, and it also helped in the battery recharging while driving too. I have the Aeroforce gauges and display battery voltage and it shows a bit higher than it used to. Good mod.

I installed the extra battery trunk cable thinking I'd rather boost the volts directly from the prime battery source to the chassis rather than from the engine bay chassis to the starter or bell housing.

I could not believe how thin the grounding screw is that connects the battery negative cable strap to the trunk It's only maybe 4/5mm in diameter and don't think it's stainless steel? Now I know it’s really the large head washer that actually makes the grounding contact with the cable strap but even that seemed thin. Not only that but the hole in the trunk it screws into is OPEN to the underneath of the car where it's exposed to the road surface elements!
I think that, along with it not being stainless steel explains why mine had rust on some of the threads. I brushed off the rust with a wire brush and put some dialectic grease on it when I screwed it back in.

I added an extra ground cable from the engine block just behind the alternator to the frame where there is another ground wire. But one big problem with these is all of the ground points never had the paint removed so they only ground through the bolt threads, and after they get any rust or oxidation you lose good contact.
I pulled the ground in the trunk and sanded the paint off down to bare metal. And the same with the grounds under the hood. Haven't had an issue since. I know this has been said before ,just putting it out there.

And as I said earlier, it looks like this ground cable I added to the trunk has made the charging of the battery work better. Driving it used to show anywhere from 14.3-14.6 on my Aeroforce gauge fluctuating as the alt works during normal driving, now it reads 14.7-14.9 all the time, and after leaving the car parked for about a week it used to start kind of slow, now... Not anymore!! Turns over real nice., even when hot, which is why I did this. Almost seems like the stock grounding and charging system wasn't doing a very good job.

Yeah I think that I'm going to add the ground wire in the trunk too. My car when hot, before I added the chassis ground it used to barely start after running it for a while. It would turn over super slow and when it did start the stabilitrack and all would pop on. But like I said it actually solved that problem but still turns over kinda slow as normal. Where did you guys add the wire to on the body, the same place as the original wire or somewhere different?

I put mine where the original ground wire is on the battery from the neg terminal to the body.
