I'm running BEAMTECH H11 LED Headlight Bulb, 50W 6500K 8000Lumens off of Amazon in both the car and truck. Zero issues so far, and they work great with the halogen housings.

Nothing. Literally plug and play. I have had zero issues and it's been over a year since I've put them in both vehicles.

I bought a kit on Ebay to convert the existing lights to HID. It just converted the bulb and nothing else. While I did notice a change of color in the light, the actual output didn't change much and then one of the ballasts failed so I went back to the original bulbs.

Hey, if you don’t mind, did you purchase 2 separate sets (4 bulbs total) for giving the led look of both lights (hi/low). I am considering- you know sitting on the fence of decision.

I wanted to do the RS HID conversation but, being disabled Vet, I can’t do much anymore like that of my early years of life. In addition, don’t want to pay ridiculous monies for the work. 😂

I appreciate any assistance.

I’d suggest getting LED in both lo/hi beams. I’ve been running beamtech for awhile(years) in a few different cars. If you can change lightbulbs, then you can put these in. Very reasonable compared to switching to HID and you’ll have nothing but issues with those.
Good luck

I'd suggest posting in one of the other forums (this is the Z/28 forum), BUT, I think you'll likely need a converter (gen5diy likely has it) for the LED lights to work.

Are these the bulbs that are plug/play?
Assuming you have to orient them for low/high beam.
Thx!

These are the ones I got for hi and lo. The OEM bulbs were H9 and I just dug out the beamtech boxes with the OEM bulbs I put away when I installed led bulbs. I used these same ones in my 2014 LS and my Z28, which have the same halogen headlights. Some sights say hi beam are H13. Just do your research but the ones I used are plug and play and only need to clock the led bulb so it reflects correctly.
