On all "V" engines, V6 V8 V10 etc. Look for the cylinder head that's further forward. That's number 1

1357 is on the driver's side on gm 2468 is on the passenger side. Chrysler is the same Ford is another story.

So on a 3.6 Camaro 1,3,5 is on the drivers side? WRONG! Like I said, any “V” engine...No matter who makes it, the cylinder head reaching the furthest from the flywheel is where number 1 cylinder is located. That’s what he wanted to know. It’s a question on the ASE test.............
