I hope I didn't come across implying that their setup wouldn't work, I was just saying that "I" felt the way I did it would work for me.

Nah, it didn't sound that way. I just wanted to point out the difference in fitting types. Maybe the DIY kits use NPT threads/fittings and that's why some have issues? I dont know for sure. But I keep reading people mention NPT, and DSX uses NPTF.

I realized it the hard way. I cheaped out, and didn't buy their drill bit and tap kit. Tried to source them myself. Spent just as much money and took twice as long. But i ended up with the right stuff and it has never leaked.

I like the idea of the bulkhead fitting. I take it you dropped the tank. If you drop the tank, you could even put some kind of filter sock on the other side of the fitting.

All the aux systems I see going in on Youtube, they just drill a hole and tap it for 3/8 npt. Then they put the fitting in with some kind of sealant. To me that is not a lot of threads to hold a fuel line for the next 20 years, but guys are running them successfully.

I like the idea of the dw400 in the ZL1 bucket. I was looking into how to use the Hellcat pump, but it's a good bit bigger than the ZL1 pump and you would have to mod the wiring for the significant increase in amperage draw.

I once tried to use a major manufacture's 340lph pump on a E85 600chp 427 NA build and ran out of fuel. It was advertised to support 700. They took the pump back, but what a pain to do that twice.

In usual fashion my aux tank connection leaked.. and I agree.. its hokey AF. However you can buy stuff called SEAL ALL. And I swear it'll weld your fitting to your tank.. I was lucky enough to have access to both inside and outside the tank for install.... forget all the other stuff... SEAL ALL will bond the aluminum to the plastic and the liner inside... it won't leak...promise.

I originally did a 6an bulkhead to my pump (didn't buy kit) and have now upgraded the line to my aux pump to 8an (so went from 6an to 8an bulkhead) still no leak. I just can't stop tinkering....MOD SICKNESS!!!

I actually have a tube of that in the garage. I got it just in case when I was doing the meth setup. Thanks for the tip.

I have total confidence in bulkhead fittings. That's what they use on fuel cells.

I was even thinking about ditching the meth for E85 and using the cell with a different pump, but it seemed like it would end up complicated. Not, that I am afraid of complicated, my nitrous runs off remote control, but I have learned that simplifying makes troubleshooting easier when something is not working.
