The OP has an LT which means the stock Camaro spare wheel/tire will fit. The LT does not have the Brembo with roller skates sticking up from pads on front.
In fact, that spare tire with tools was a factory option for about $150 or so. There are many threads with lots of ideas for spares. There is a plastic battery cover/insulator that snaps on prior to putting the spare tire in the trunk. Available via Chevy and have seen used on ebay.

After two years of searching wreckers with no luck. Found a used 18" factory spare on E-bay from a store called Autopharmacy. After the exchange and import tax work out to $330 canadian delivered to my door in Alberta canada. Went to the local auto store and picked up a jack and wheel wrench on clearance for $40. . Learned that the foam supplied has a best before date of 5 years and wont work on a sidewall hole. Replaced the foam can for $40 and now have a spare,compressor with the foam. Great peace of mind when certain locations dont have cell service and towing companies with in 100 KM.

I think I will go out and give it a whirl. Edit: Nope, the steel 18"s don't fit the hole. Side to side looks good but top to bottom ain't happening. Need more tire inflator i guess. Amazon list a $300 spare as 26.5" overall btw.

The OEM Camaro Factory SPARE does fit in the trunk spare tire well on my SS. Have it sitting in there ever since i bought the SS new in 2014.

Just for the comfort of knowing I may not have to call a roll back for a flat I may try one of my stock 9” front 20’s in the spare well. That extra weight along with a jack and a wrench are no issue on the street really.

This is a good question. I have thinking about buying one of these kits just for peace of mind. When I get a flat I seem to do it right & it's not a nail or screw lol. I did some looking & there are a lot of different cars out there that don't have spares. I'm guessing the extra holes are for a different bolt pattern. Maybe 5 x 115.

I got a complete kit from www.performancespare.com included spacesaver, adaptor, lug wrench & jack. All stows neatly underneath the trunk floor access panel.
I believe their latest version does away with the spacer. It's a neat kit.
