Stock tach redline on manual 1ss

Hi all,
I'm new here, first time posting. Just wondering why the ls3 is stated to redline at 6600 vs the l99 at 6200. My tack redline starts at 6200, is this true on all 6 spd cars? Does stock calibration allow it to get to 6600? Peak power is at 5900 so is there any point in revving that high anyway?

Car is a 14 1ss/Rs cloth seats, fe4 suspension strut tower brace and the only emblem on the car is the "Camaro" fender badges.

I have Texas speed Lt's dual mode exhaust, new era otr cai and it sounds cammed to my ears but I've never heard a stocker idling. It's ashen grey I believe is the name of the color with the Rs pkg. Car is from Rochester NY, maybe a former members car or a new era product development vehicle? 1st owner sold it at 9k miles, 2nd was in AZ till 29k and now it's got a new home in NC!

The redline refers to the rev limiter set in the tune, i.e where the computer pulls spark to keep someone from blowing the motor. I doubt there is any difference in the tach between an M6 and A6.

^^^^ This. The tach face's are all the same in the LS3 and L99 cars.

They are 2 different camshaft profiles. The difference in red Line is the valve train capability. The rotating assemble can handle more. Don’t confuse red line with shift point. Your shift point should be a the horsepower/tourque peak...anything after is wasted
