haha this is true. Here is mine: I think it is a good match with the car. I am worried about it being too tall and hitting the roof. Haven't tried it out inside the car yet.

Your Snell M2005 doesn't expire until 1/1/2017 according to NHRA Tech.

Also:
M actually means Motorcycle or Motorized Vehicle
SA means Specific Application.

The SA has additional requirements for: fire and smacking a rollcage. The M has a wider field of view.

I checked the 2009 NHRA rulebook and both SA and M are good in all cars. You need a SA if you are in a front engine, supercharged vehicle - e.g. funny car. You need a full face helmet if you are going 9.99 or faster.

I ran 14.0 @ 107 with traction control on and the car was a 2007 LS2 manual
Charger ran 13.9. Its my buddies car and is very built up. A few trys and I would have had him!

There should be a tag on the inside of the helmet that should say what snell statndard it is built for.

Most tracks don't require higher than the 2005 standard...

But the tag on the inside of the helmet or on the chin strap is required. A decal on the outside isn't good enough.

The charger is my buddies. his parents actually bought it brand new. It is a 74. It is his pride and joy. It has been in mopar magazines and stuff. Been restored I think 3 times. The last due to engine fire. He also has a 69 super bee and a 2007 R/T Charger w/ track pack. His dad has a cuda and a new R/T Challenger. Big mopar family! No pics of bee or cuda.





The Corvette was mine. bought it new in 07 and sold it july 2009. SS was delivered in August. I also have an 89 IROC and a 67 camaro... I am a chevy guy! My dad has a 2007 supercharged Mustang GT... not a ford guy, just no other options in 2007 and he didnt want to get a Corvette.



One day we are going to get all 4 cars together. I think that would make a great pic!

Cool, the tag is there! I guess I am good! AMEN. I didn't want to have to buy another helmet. Now my wifes is not SNELL so I guess she will have to use mine. I hope my mellon is not too big for hers to fit in my helmet!
