Longer wheel studs

Posting up what I found out the last few days in my search for longer wheel studs for my 2013 Camaro. I can tell you up front , I didn't get much help from the local GM dealership on this. They were no help as once you mention you are wanting to put something on your car that wasn't OEM they clam up. So I bought one OEM wheel stud from GM. The OEM studs are 14 x 1.50, 58 mm long (measured from mounting hub depth to tip of stud) and have a .630 knurl. I tried to find longer studs, but no luck. Nothing from ARP, Moser axles , etc... So I started looking around. Although I was unable to locate "longer studs" , I did find that you can get the same length stud but with more threads. The studs on the factory setup are not threaded all the way to the end. Although this product is made by Dorman (part # 610.435.1) and its website lists the knurl at .628 instead of the .630 by GM , I did take both studs and check them with a digital caliper. They checked the same for me. Just posting up this thread to say what I found and with a photo. As always it is up to you to figure out what you want to do but maybe this will save some legwork to get to that point.

Approximately how many more MM or thread do you gain with these?

I have not measured it that way but it gives the same amount of lug nut thread rotation as factory setup did and with A 5 mm wheel spacer being used ... which is what I am using. Being that the stud is not actually any longer in overall length, it made me happy in knowing that I can switch back to me OEM rims and use the factory lug nuts with these studs. If you go with a thicker wheel spacer then all things change. This just worked for me using the rims I purchased and the spacer used.

Will these Dorman studs work on a 2020 Camaro ZL1
