Is this normal?

Hey guys I installed bmr 1.4 lowering springs a few months back. Just changed my fluids today and noticed that my strut mount was lifted up about an inch. Is this normal? Wasn't this way when I did the install. I did have the car up on jack stands maybe they just need a little time to compress.

One of mine, the passenger side is like this, but not as high. I only went 1.25 on my Camaro. It has been like that for about 9 years and no issues, even put new struts on about 3 years ago, still raised up about a 1/2 inch over the driver side.

I drove the car around the block a few times since I did the oil, trans, and diff fluids. It didn't feel any different but I never noticed this before, 1st time I was under the hood since I did the springs. Anyone else ever seen this before?

I also installed strut covers on mine so I wouldn't notice it anymore, or worry about it. lol.. Like I said, it's been like that for the entire time, 9 years to date, and no alignment issues either. But check it out..

Which covers did you go with? I did some googling and saw it's normal. I guess I should have done that first before posting lol

Mine came from Phastek by these folks, but Phastek doesn't have them anymore, but you can still get them directly. Reason I got them is because they screw onto the strut bolt on top of the strut and won't come off until you unscrew them. I did have the "slip on" ones before and they kept on riding up on the rubber top portion of the strut and eventually one of them fell off, but I didn't lose it, so I got these..

I could be wrong but I read some where in these forums that that gap is normal even with the stock springs. I'm sure someone will chime in with more info !
I will say mine are more like 3/8" gap.
