Please No Flaming

I'm new to the Camaro world and so far I'm loving the car. First impressions I've got a 2013 2SS/RS Black on Black with 71,200 on the clock. The prior owner as far as I can tell only installed an after market exhaust system on it.
I've sense put new rubber and a set of black after market wheels. Sense I've done that it does seem to turn heads more. My next mod if I'm on the right track. I've read in other forums about people getting a tune done to their cars. Can some one explain what they means by getting a tune to their cars.
Thanks and Happy Motoring...

Adjusting the ignition and fuel timing for maximized performance. But it’s a waste of money, don’t let anyone tell you different. You aren’t going to get any worthwhile hp until you upgrade the engine itself.

You’ll get a tune is when you make major performance changes like cams, supercharger, turbos etc. There’s not much of a difference between 350rwhp and 400fwhp, or even 450rwhp. Stay away from canned tunes and etunes. That’s like someone emailing you instructions on how to do surgery.

Eh, headers and tune make a difference, especially if it's an automatic, but still only about 40hp. Probably good for a couple 10ths in the quarter.

I come from a small country in the middle of Europe, where there are practically no services for American cars.
Especially where you entrust your vehicle without worries and you are sure that everything is done 100%, your car has not suffered any damage and you will really only pay for what they did on the car.

So what I don't do myself, I don't have.

The LS3 is an engine that I dare not disassemble and upgrade myself. But I will do a lot of things myself.

So I went the way of only basic upgrades.
Long tube headers, hi flow cats, CAI, ported throttle body, open exhaust and high octane fuel.
Dynosteve made me a long-distance tune. That car has changed in a completely unbelievable way, even with such small things.

I think it's worth it.
Good luck
