Like others have said....which ONE speaks to YOU the most? THat is the car you should buy...not what others think you should buy.
THe good news is.....(given your options) there is no bad car!

Man you gotta ask yourself why are you buying the car?
Take both for a drive before you put down your hard earned money. The persons opinion that matters here is yours! You may find something about one car that everyone here says is bad that you find yourself liking about the car. You will only find these things out after you drive them. just my 2 cents...... |

I can afford to buy either car cash..
I would buy the camaro ss with no other options.. 32 grand retail has to be quite a bit less with your discount.. so I'll assume its around 28 grand ..(supplier?) Thats what I would suggest.. besides your on a camaro site... Did you really think anyone would suggest the mustang?

Personally, I'd go with the 2010 Camaro, period; v6 or v8 if you want bragging rights. I feel as if the v6 version of the 2010 Camaro is basically for show and looks, it's something distinct, NEW, still not seen by many, and no matter how many people have seen them, YOUR 2010 Camaro will greatly stand out only as much as you keep it clean. A dirty 2010 camaro wont be as distinct and appealing as one with wet black wheels, waxed, and invisible glass on it.
In my opinion, mustangs are everywhere, literally. I see too many people with them, mostly girls. And most of them aren't even clean! >_<! Get the maro,....I own an SS, it's god-like. Let's put it this way,.....if you were to buy a mustang, whenever you go out in public your just going to be driving a regular CAR. On the other hand, if you get a Camaro and go out in public, you'll get all sort of crazy looks and a lot of jaw dropping as your at a stop light. The only reason your going to get those gawks and looks is because PEOPLE KNOW, your not driving a car under your ass, no no, YOUR DRIVING AN ANIMAL. Your seat belts are the saddles! Now if you want exactly what everyone else has,....a car, go right ahead and get the mustang, go on, live a normal life for a while until your next car purchase, but if you want to know how that whore linsy lohan feels while out in public BUY THE CAMARO and keep it clean! When the thing is clean, you'll attract more attention to yourself and it WILL make you feel good about your purchase, IN ADDITION, to the performance and driving your going to get from it already! All of those things are things that the tamed pony the mustang, CANT give you. 1.They're everywhere. 2.They don't look distinct aside from the back of the car. WOW the back is angled upward. HA!Nice! 3.The front of the car looks like the face of a frog! lol! Sorry. Alright serious,......I think you should invest in happiness, BUY THE CAMARO. You wont regret it.

Believe it or not. In West Texas (Abilene, Midland, Odessa, Lubbock)
I see way more New Camaro's than 2010 Mustangs. Strange I know. I see more Camaro's than Challengers by far. Probably 5 to 1. and probably 3 to 1 for the Mustang (2010). So this uniqueness, few on the road isn't true in some parts of the country. But I would hands down take the camaro. But if you can't afford the V8 Camaro and really want a V8. I suggest buying neither, save up the difference and put that down, then finance the rest (as if you were financing the V6) ________ Yamaha rd350 Last edited by jrc1122; 03-11-2011 at 11:04 PM. |

1. Can I get a Camaro by years end to take advantage of the tax credit?
2. Is a Camaro 2LT in the same league as a Mustang GT, or is the GT gonna blow it out of the water in many ways? I'm just scared the 2LT will be slower than other cars at its price point. I don't want ricers to embarrass me! I CERTAINLY Don't wanna be slower than V-6 family sedans!! (ie. Maxima). I don't suppose I can get Bluetooth or anything like that on a 1SS can i? Are the seats in the 1SS garbage? (I wanted leather but at this rate I cannot afford it). I like FIRM seats, and leather is always a nice FIRM seat. My Camry's are mush... garbage. The dealer should be able to install The Convenience and Connectivity package even if GM won't right? Last edited by WhiteCrane; 10-31-2009 at 04:06 AM. |

Reply: 2SSARME is incorrect. Asking questions is not trolling. However becoming defensive is trolling. I started 1 thread. not 50. So you're 2% right and 98% wrong. Originaly, in early summer I asked in an existing thread why the Camaro SS cost more than the Mustang GT, I was answered. This was in someone elses thread. In September I started a thread enquiring as to the performance of the 2. I was answered. Thread ended\ because i made a point I had made in the past and a mod thought it repetitive. However I thought it deserved its own thread since the first time around, instead of answering my ?'s people told me I didn't know what I was talking about because I drove a Toyota Camry. Which was, rather self evident since I was there asking ?'s in the first place. Of course I didn't know. Here I am asking questions again, (while still praising the Camaro's quality) and someone is still becoming insecure. I can't imagine why. This thread is me picking the brains of people more knowledgeable than I to aid in a purchase decision and incorporates completely different data from any other thread. This thread is not comparing the quality of the GT and 2SS. ![]() So please, continue sounding the trolling horn every time someone asks a question instead of blinding bending over and screaming Camaros are teh gr3atest! I'll be the first to say its (Camaro) a superior car. 1. Trolls don't ask questions. 2. I'm sitting here considering a V6 Camaro over a V8 mustang when they cost the same, thus making me a ford fanboy? You're serious? Last edited by WhiteCrane; 10-31-2009 at 04:00 AM. |

And I'll have to agree to buy the GT if you can't afford the SS.

Ignorance? Really? If it's a standard road course, the mustang is better suited for it. I mean its just common knowledge that the mustang is a better handling car then the camaro, but the camaro makes up for that with the power.

The gt would blow the 2lt out of the water in every aspect other then those involving opinion (looks, necessity of the comfort package, ect) The maximxa and infiniti motors are right around the same as the camaro, a little quicker but not much. They won't be smoking you by any means, they'll put up similar times to a v-6 camaro. I can't comment on the 1ss seats, but if you want a v-8 camaro, then go for it. ( if you can't afford the 2ss) |

The V6 Camaro is a win and not just because it's a Camaro
1) The MPG on the Camaro is a little better 2) the V6 is a better daily driver 3) insuring the V6 in most cases costs less 4) the Camaro cost about 1k less 5) the Camaro is new and cool If your only after HP then it's hard to compete STOCK vs STOCK V6 to V8 M2C

Thanks guys. You've all been great at answering my questions!
Now can anyone comment on the quality of the seats on the SS1? Are they at least comfortable? I'm assuming my dealer can install some kind of convenience and connectivity package for me even if GM can not. |
